Divorce Coaching for Individuals Walking Through a Divorce
Whether you are considering divorce, already in the process, or moving forward onto your new path, you may find you need help.
A Divorce Coach can serve many roles within the divorce process and after. They are most commonly thought of as emotional support, but we do so much more than that. Melissa is a CDC Certified Divorce Coach® and trained in dealing with high-conflict personalities during divorce. Divorce Coaches are skilled at helping you separate your emotions from the decisions that need to be made to move forward. Having someone give you that clarity is incredibly valuable. Divorcing Coaching is helpful for anyone facing divorce but especially if any of these circumstances apply to you:
- You’re so fearful about your future that you can’t make decisions
- You have no idea what you’re going to do when the divorce is final
- You’re very extremely angry, resentful, or dealing with a high-conflict spouse
- You’re not familiar with the legal process and would like someone to hold your hand through it
- You’re not thinking clearly and it’s making it very hard to make any decisions
- You are struggling to figure out a parenting plan that’s going to work
Just as lawyers and financial experts have very important and specific roles in the divorce process, a divorce coach has the job of supporting and guiding her clients through the challenging maze of emotions. A coach ensures that self-care is prioritized so litigants can make decisions from a place of clarity.
At Divorce Strategies Group, Melissa helps clients navigate the emotional rollercoaster and keeps them on track when the stress of the divorce process threatens to derail them. She relies on her personal and professional experience, training, and connections to create structure, safety, and space. This is critical because each divorce is unique, and each client’s needs are different. She is an advocate and a thinking partner for her clients.

Personal. Relatable. Private.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Melissa Provence. I am an Advanced Dispute Resolution Specialist, Mediator, Certified Divorce Coach™, and DCA™ Divorce Conflict Coach. I work directly with clients to help them navigate the emotional landscape of a painful divorce.
I am a shoulder to lean on – but, also a guide to help you through one of the toughest moments of your life.
Personal
What is your situation? We will work together at all stages of your divorce. Whether you are just reviewing your options or know this is the path you need to take; I will be by your side giving you the information you need to make these critical decisions and to handle the fallout from those decisions.
Every divorce journey is unique, and my services are tailored to suit your individual needs. I will provide you with a tool kit of practical strategies and techniques that will help you to navigate your divorce with confidence and emotional control.
I will lay out what each stage will involve and ensure that you have an effective Divorce Support Team to help in any scenario. This is essential for ensuring that you feel supported and have expert advice whenever you need it. Together, we will uncover the real you. We will find what makes you tick and motivates you in your new life as a single person.
Relatable
How could I possibly know what you’re going through? In 2017, my husband suddenly announced that he wanted a divorce. We had been married for twelve years with two young children and until that moment, I would have never suspected either of us were unhappy with our relationship.
My entire life changed overnight. I went from living the ideal Woodlands “lifestyle” as a stay- at-home mother to a divorced, single parent who had no idea who she was as an individual and what the future held. The one thing I was sure of was that I never wanted another person to go through divorce alone.
Private
Stop telling everyone… start talking to me. Let’s face it, you are in a lot of pain. You have a whole range of emotions and nowhere to put them. You may be confiding in friends, co- workers, or family but worrying that you’re burning them out. And to be honest, they love us so can they really be objective?
A divorce coach, like a fitness coach, will tell you the truth about where you are right now and then support you in getting you to where you need to be.
Together we will build your personal strength so that you can deal with negative emotions more effectively, enabling you to heal as you move forward.
